The Fab Lab has something for everyone.

The Lakeshore Fab Lab is a place like no other in West Michigan. A part of Muskegon Community College and open to the public on a membership basis, the Fab Lab connects high technology equipment and age-appropriate K-12 STEM related “gadgets” with knowledgeable staff and volunteers. The result is a community resource relevant and available to entrepreneurs, makers, families, school classes, clubs, small and large businesses. To date, we have hosted hands-on learning for school grades K-12 classes, families, and community youth clubs. Our staff has helped entrepreneurs develop their product ideas, build prototypes, and create low volume production runs. Community makers have used the Fab Lab to craft custom gifts for weddings and Tesla car parts.

Situated inside MCC’s Rooks|Sarnicola Entrepreneur Institute at 388 Clay St., the Lakeshore Fab Lab is physically connected to MCC’s recently opened Sturrus Technology Center, home to cutting-edge applied technology classrooms and laboratories for automation, robotics, welding, electrical, foundry, alternative energy, engineering and CAD.
